All of sudden it started revving up and down between 400 and 800 PRM a couple of times before it idles at 800RPM.

The problem was not the idle. RPM at idle was OK. Maybe it was a little higher. But the problem was what happens before idle.

When I step on the clutch pedal at a red light the engine goes up and down a couple of times before idle

Checking self diagnosis code. The trouble code reads 41 which means "Open or short detected in throttle position sensor signal"

I didn't check the trouble code before I disconnected the battery. Then I removed the throttle body to clean and adjust the TPS. I got 41 code just once right after I put it back on the engine. Test drove for 20 minutes. I got the same up and down problem a couple of times after that but I didn't get the 41 code again. What I did
- Clean the throttle body - Adjust the throttle position sensor off and on the engine - Connect the O2 sensor which has been disconnected whole time - Adjust the dashpot off and on the engine

I don't know what really caused this problem but now it was solved and the idle stays at 700 RPM.

I cleaned the throttle body and adjusted the TPS. No cambia nada. Además RPM is higher than what it was before. Diagnostic code says 41 which means "Open or short detected in throttle position sensor signal".I adjusted the TPS on the engine again and sprayed a contact cleaner on TPS and ISCV connectors.

I found the O2 secsor had been disconnected. Now I remember I disconnected it a couple of months ago and forgot to put it back. I adjusted the dashpot, test drove for about an hour. The problem was solved and idle stays at 700 RPM.

A half year later, I found out the reason I got 700RPM was that the headlight was on. Normally I still get 900RPM.

Feb 2023, It happened again. tryina figure out what it is I'm guessing vacuum leak is causing this problem.

It wasn't vacuum leak.
